Training

The team provide a variety of training opportunities for wedding venues and suppliers to upskill in areas such as:

  • Sales & marketing
  • Lead generation
  • Increasing revenue
  • Customer service practices

CEO and founder, Ciara Crossan actively participates in and plans bespoke training days for hotel teams or hotel groups looking to improve their abilities in a variety of ways. Training days in partnership with Maxima Training are also scheduled regularly to provide industry professionals with highly focused sales and marketing training. Maxima training sessions are typically held over the course of a whole day and cover a variety of in-depth topics such as:

  • Attracting wedding sales through social media marketing
  • Understanding current trends
  • Maximising sales conversions from a wedding show

Mystery Shopping

Mystery shopping can be arranged with a member of the company to provide helpful insights and information to venues looking to improve their services. Mystery shops can be undertaken on the following:

  • Wedding enquiry experience
  • Show Rounds
  • Wedding Fairs
  • Website and social media marketing analysis
  • Overall customer service

Wedding Fairs

Team members are available to attend, co-host or provide live social media coverage of your wedding fair on the day. As these events do take some planning and may require travel, it’s best to get in touch well in advance to discuss the details and book their time for the event.

The Sales Team

Well-versed in the hospitality industry, Niamh has garnered valuable insight and expertise through roles on the pre-opening team for The Kingsley Hotel, as Wedding and Events Coordinator at Fota Island Resort and as Meeting and Events Sales Manager at the Clayton Hotel Cork City.

At WeddingDates, she oversees 750 UK and Irish venues as Account Manager as well as generating new business for the company. In addition to her busy role, Niamh has recently undertaken voluntarily committee positions on Marketing Institute of Ireland Cork Branch and Network Cork as Social Media Executive.

Niamh’s strengths lie in venue training, sales and marketing techniques and revenue reporting.
